Lifestyle // Why I love blogging

Last nights lifestyle (#lbloggers) chat was really interesting as always! We were talking about "big" and "small" bloggers, the difference between them and what people think is important about blogging. For me personally,it's the interaction.Writing is blog is actually quite a brave thing to do,as you're putting yourself out there and saying "this is me and these are the things I enjoy" and I really like the positive and accepting community that comes out of that.

As well as loving reading comments, messages and notifications,I really enjoy taking the time to sit down and respond to them. Not just a one word response which seems similar to sending someone a text saying "K",but a thought out comment that might continue more conversation and ideas. If someone can take the time to write me a comment, then I can take the time to reply. There is nothing nicer than waking up and realising that real people actually want to respond and talk about something you've wrote! Real people who have ideas, opinions and dreams and want to share them with others.

If anyone wants a creative and healthy outlet then I'd really recommend blogging. It's great because it's on your terms and it can be whatever you want it to be.It's done a lot for me in many ways; my writing and grammar have improved,I feel more confident in what I have to say and it helps me feel less "stuck" in my own mind. That's pretty good seeing as blogging is relatively cheap and doesn't have to cost a thing!

P.S If you're wandering why the white of the screenshots is dull,it's because I use a computer program that adjusts light to help me sleep.I'll review it soon!

What's your favourite thing about blogging?

  1. Hi Kim!
First of all, that light adjusting thing for your computer sounds pretty awesome, haha.

I love this post. I've never realized how social blogging can actually be... contacting people with similar interests is so enjoyable!! I think one of my favorite things about blogging is that it is a great creative outlet. I find myself enjoying life more because I'm living more in the present, and reflecting often. I'm also always trying to think of creative projects I can share. I used to be so bored all the time, now blogging fills my every hour. Haha! Thanks for posting. :)

    1. I agree so much with you! I'm always thinking about stuff so I can write afterwards :)

  2. Thanks for taking the time to write! It is amazing and has really helped my sleep and eyesight,I'm going to do a post about it soon.I didn't realise what the world of blogging had to offer either,I thought that no one else would read my blog,so the fact that others are is amazing.

I definitely agree that it's a great way to cure boredom, there seems to be an infinite amount of subjects to talk about! xx

  3. I love the sense of community it offers and how supportive we are of each other. The #lbloggers chat has been particularly effective in growing my blogroll as well as my own traffic.

  4. I agree,I'm really glad I came across #lbloggers chat.Twitter seems like a really effective way of communicating and growing a blog.x

  5. I love getting to know fellow bloggers or just general readers of my blog. It makes my day when I get a comment on one of my posts or someone mentions one of my posts on Twitter, it makes me smile and makes it feel worthwhile. I love the chats on Twitter aswell and finding fab new blogs :).

    Gem x

  6. I couldn't agree more! Being in such a positive community is really encouraging and definitely helps me stay focused on writing.Twitter is an amazing place to meet new bloggers,I've got so much to read in my Bloglovin' feed now.x
