Lifestyle // Black Sheep Coffee Review*

There's nothing better than the smell of freshly brewed coffee in the morning,it really helps set me up for the day and I wouldn't be without my daily cup.If my finances could stretch I think I would visit Starbucks daily (so ready for gingerbread lattes!) ,but I'll settle for my favourite mug and a splash of milk and sugar.I live in an area that is really big on supporting indie brands,so I was really happy that the lovely people at Black Sheep Coffee sent me some ground coffee to sample.

I really enjoy using posh ground coffee in the cafetiere,it's all very fancy and novel to me as I've only recently discovered these! If only I had one of those milk frothers then I could have the full experience.Of course,no morning cup of coffee would be complete without a few biscuits for dunking.Anyway on to the main event,I thought I'd start writing reviews in a Q&A format so that they're easy to read and so that I don't forget the little details.

Who are Black Sheep Coffee?

Black Sheep Coffee are a London based company who pride themselves on offering high quality coffee at a reasonable price. They encourage people to "leave the heard behind" and enjoy a more flavourful and exciting coffee experience.

What products do they offer?

They sell ground and whole bean coffee priced at between £5.40-£6.40 per 227g.You can even buy 1kg of their coffee beans if you're serious about your caffeine habits.I think they're pretty good value as you could easily spend more than this on a couple of drinks at a coffee house. They even sell Black Sheep coffee t shirts so you can wear your love for all things java too!

What did you think of the coffee you tried?

I sampled the Robusta Revival ground beans (which you can buy here) and I was very impressed with how rich and deep the flavours were.I'm usually more of a instant coffee drinker, but I really enjoyed taking the time to make a more luxurious cup of coffee. It has a wonderfully smooth finish and it's very drinkable,I  love that the kitchen smells absolutely gorgeous now. These particular beans contain around twice as much caffeine as normal Arabica beans so if I wasn't awake earlier on,I am now! I'd say this would be the coffee to buy if you're a regular coffee drinker who is looking to get more out of their morning drink.

What else would you like to see from Black Sheep Coffee?

One thing I'm very impressed with is their social media interaction, sites like Twitter and Instagram are great ways to communicate with coffee lovers, and I think that will only stand them in good stead.I would love to see them release even more products, perhaps a caffiene free coffee for the evenings, or for those who aren't able to drink it.

I'm really glad I discovered this brand on Twitter. What's your go-to coffee order? I'm a latte girl myself.

Music // Ultimate Blogger's Playlist

source

For the past couple of days I've had terrible writer's block,it's so frustrating when all the thoughts are there but you can't get them into any sort of order. In cases like this I like to get a playlist together that puts me in a good mood and inspires me to get writing! I must have been living under a rock because I've only recently discovered Spotify, but I'm really enjoying using it as a way to boost my motivation and discover new music.

The Warm Up

I like to set up an area where I can blog comfortably, which often includes many cushions and a big mug of tea! I've put together some songs that have a wonderful mix of catchy and feelgood lyrics that should help you to get motivated to produce your best content yet! Who could resist singing to Mr Blue Sky? It's the perfect song for Summer.I'd really recommend Noah and The Whale too if you're into indie folk, fans of Bombay Bicycle Club or Mumford and Sons, this would be a great band to check out.

The Main Event

By this point you've probably written a little bit,but your concentration might begin to flag! This is the time that I might have a little break, but if I'm feeling productive I often power through with some tracks that help keep me going. These songs are great for inspiring your ideas and emotions to get together and do some writing.I've heard Pharrell William's "Happy" a million times already and I still love it,I should really watch Despicable Me! Ben Howard has some lovely music too,he also used to live in my town and go to the same secondary school as me,although not at the same time sadly!

The Wind Down

Writing can be really draining when you put your all into creating something you love.I think it's a great idea to relax with some easy listening music and take some time to rest your brain.I've only just discovered the first song which is a cellist group cover of Coldplay's clocks and it's so beautiful! Also, you can never go wrong with some Jack Johnson to mellow you out.

I've spent a lovely evening arranging my playlists. It definitely appeals to the side of me that loves organising,I should work in an office.Of course, all of the songs belongs to their respective artists,I can't sing for toffee and I'm no Beyonce! I hope you enjoy them, let me know if you'd like me to create any more,I'm thinking of starting a regular music feature.

What songs are you enjoying at the moment? Do you use Spotify?

Lifestyle // Bloggers you should be following Part 1

There's nothing I love more than heading over to Bloglovin' armed with a cup of tea to see what's new in the Blogosphere.I get so many great ideas and inspiration from everyone's stories and I'm always finding great new blogs on Twitter. I've virtually met so many lovely people via social media and I love interacting with every one of them, but I've compiled a list of bloggers who really brighten up my feed with their excellent writing and fresh take on life.

If you love all things vintage, adorable cats and cruelty free then you'll love Tiny Grey cat which is written by the lovely Lily. Her openness about the reality of recovering from cancer is really thought provoking and brave as you can see here and here. As an avid tea and coffee drinker,I love the Mugshot Monday posts she writes, showcasing her collection of interesting and very quirky cups full of stories. Her cats Soldier and Trobadour (I had to google that, apparently its a medieval French Poet) are ridiculously cute and how awesome are their names? I love the whole rockabilly vintage look that she's got going on and,I really look forward to reading more about her style!

I only discovered this blog run by Joelle yesterday but I'm so glad I did,it's a great mix of fashion, comedy and sh*t she doesn't care about. Her post about her top 10 Bebo memories really took me back and gave me a good laugh, she definitely says what we're all thinking.I love how her blog is separated into sections (very organised!) and there is some wonderful tips and advice amongst the funny stuff. There's a lot on this blog that I've never seen before such as her post on funny spam comments and blogger encouragement,so you'll definitely find something on here for you!

The first thing that caught my eye about Twenty Something Sherbet / Dear Ms.Leigh was how creative and pretty her about me page was,and that's only the start. If you're into crafts then Rachael's handiwork will give you some great inspiration.I particularly love this Michigan State Map and Angel of the North cross stitch.I love reading about her adventures as an English lady living in Michigan,USA and she even went on a quest to find some good fish and chips. Her pictures are so beautiful and a world away from what I'm used to,so I love heading over to her blog for some escapism!

If you aren't following this lovely ladies already then I would definitely head over to their blogs now and click follow! They're all really supportive and their content is so well written that you'll never want to get off Bloglovin'.I've really enjoyed writing about other bloggers and I'm making this part of a series to celebrate all of the great achievements and people in the blogging community. So watch this space for more
awesomeness!

Who would you recommend that I follow?

Recovery // Tumblr thinspo debunked

*Trigger warning for photographs & discussion of Eating Disorders/weight*

I love Tumblr as much as the next person. It's a great place to get style inspiration, read interesting stories and catch up with friends. However scroll a little further and you'll notice a few photographs that aren't all they seem.Thinspo or "thinspiration" is defined as "photographs or other material intended to provide inspiration for Anorexia as a lifestyle choice".I can't even begin to discuss how angry these make me! I think they are really toxic and do nothing to break the stereotype that eating disorders are only experienced by thin white women. Please note,I have nothing against any body type,we are all worthy of feeling pretty and special whether we are fat, thin or anything in between. The problem I have is with the media and "pro ana" supporters promoting negative self talk and diets.

Lots of these images were inspired by this (in) famous Kate Moss quote.

via Tumblr

This quote always makes me think.Personally when I reached my "goal weight" I didn't even care about how being skinny felt.I couldn't feel! Also I think that lots of things taste better than being skinny.Freedom from self hatred and a healthy relationship with food taste 1000x better than skinny could ever feel.

via Tumblr

I hate this kind of faux motivational BS.Your stomach doesn't even know what applauding is.It's very easy to lose sight of the actual science when you're faced with these so called "inspirational" images. Not only do these images shame any body type that doesn't fit this "ideal" that is generated by the media,it also shames people for feeling one of the most primal instincts, hunger.

via Tumblr
Urgh I don't even know where to start with this.I hate the ignorance that Tumblr and the media display, they seem to think that Anorexia is a diet that can be picked up and dropped as they wish. Also, drinking only Diet Cokes and coffee whilst smoking cigarettes will not turn you into a fragile little Effy Stonem clone. It will make you tired, depressed and resentful.Pretty girls are made of determination, strength and happiness!

One thing I have noticed is that pro-ana and "thinspo" messages definitely prey on the vulnerable and try to either shame them into feeling inadequate, or post motivational quotes saying that they too could be just like this! They sell dieting and weight loss as the answer to everything.Don't like yourself? Lose weight.Want that boy to notice you? Slim down. It's just another form of advertising for a lifestyle that isn't attainable,we shouldn't treat it any different to the more obvious advertising. The only difference is that thinspo is made in people's bedrooms and not boardrooms.

To counteract all of this negativity I created my own "Anti-thinspo" photo.

I know that people are more aware of these materials now,and they are slowly being taken down.If you do see anything that you are concerned about then I would report the content to the admins of the website.I hope this has helped put things in to perspective a little more,it's amazing how little people can think of how a few words can affect people so much.

Have you ever come across anything pro-ana related? What did you think?

Job hunting //How to improve your job search today

Searching through the newspaper and scouring the internet over and over again becomes second nature when you're job hunting.I'm currently in this situation and it can really give your confidence a knock, but I've been having more success recently (with some interviews on the way!).The little things can really help, so I've put together some tips that I've found have really been keeping the momentum going.

1. Don't be hard on yourself

This has been a big hurdle for me as I had to leave my job to recover from my Eating Disorder. However, whatever reason you don't have a job, please don't be hard on yourself.I know that in today's society people can often judge you on your profession, but they don't know you or your situation. You're trying to better yourself and that's great.

2.Use your resources

Networking can create great job opportunities.Talking to former colleagues or friends and family who might know of vacancies available can often result in you hearing something. How often have you heard "So and so said they were hiring at the...".Keep your wits about you and you don't know what will come up.

3. Get your C.V and covering letter checked over

The Job Centre offers work groups who will go through your CV and covering letter with you, to see where you could make improvements. They can often arrange work experience and work together with you and potential employers to secure work.I would definitely recommend these, they treat you with respect and offer you resources that you might not have realise existed.

4.Don't take rejection personally

It's easy to think there is something wrong with you when you keep getting knocked back.Accept that this is part of the process and focus on the positives you have achieved.I have found that emailing the employer requesting feedback can be really helpful in finding out how to improve your approach.

5.Be informed

Companies like to hire employees who know about the organisation and their values.Taking time to make some notes about the company and their background is very beneficial in creating a positive impression and good communication.

Discount dining // Tastecard free trial

I've been hearing so many great things about Tastecards that I thought I would check it out for myself.I'm always on a quest to save money,so I opted for a 30 day free trial before I commit myself to paying £79.99 a year.I wasn't too sure what they were to be honest, so I had a browse on their website (here) and it all looks very exciting.

Tastecard is a diners club, where members receive 2 for 1 discounts or 50% off their food bill for presenting their card at the restaurant.I tried booking a meal through their website, and I found the whole process really easy and quick. They have a large directory of restaurants that you can search through, and when you've found the right one for you, just ring up as you normally would and say that you have a Tastecard. It only took about 5 minutes and now I have a lovely meal booked for us on Monday that gives us a 241 meal offer.

I found their website really easy to navigate and you can also have the restaurant details sent to your phone. Great for people like me who have a terrible sense of direction. Tastecard comes across as a very customer friendly and innovative company, which is refreshing!

The only downside is there is some restrictions, but then I can understand that as they still want to run a business after all! You can't use your Tastecard around peak times like Christmas and other holiday events, but if you eat out regularly this would be a great way to save some money.I suppose it's kind of like paying some money up front to ensure discounts in the future, like an investment!

I'll reserve my judgement until next week and I can see it in action. For now though,I'm pretty impressed! I really like the concept and I think it's a great idea to help people have a wonderful experience for less.

Have you ever bought a Tastecard? What do you think of Diners clubs?

Prep your skin for spring // Red Fox Tub-O-Butter review

I've been looking for a product that will get rid of dry patches of skin without creating irritation or being too strongly scented. The one place I always have a look around is Amazon, there never fails to be something there for everyone.I came across this interesting looking tub with the even more interesting name of "Tub-O-Butter".Although it doesn't sound very appealing,it claims to have so many benefits from keeping you looking young to preventing dryness, and all for £2.49! I thought was very reasonable considering the amount you get.

£2.49 from Amazon (free P&P)

I must admit the packaging doesn't really do much for me.I think I've seen these colours before on my Nan's curtains back in the '70s,but it's easy to read and I do like their no fuss approach.Apparently this product is from Georgia in the USA, so I'm hoping for something a little different to what we get over here.Foreign beauty products are always so fun to use, they seem more more innovative.

It has a very thick Vaseline type texture, which is great as not much of the product is needed.I'm hoping this is very economical as I'm forever buying moisturisers. It has a very faint scent of cocoa butter which is just enough that you can smell it on the skin, without it overpowering any perfume.I tried some this morning and I must say, this stuff is amazing! A thin layer is all that's needed to give my skin all it needs and it has left my problem areas free from irritation and dryness. It takes a little while to sink in,but it is definitely worth it to feel the benefits that it gives.

I was really impressed by all of the uses this lotion has,I've used it to moisturise my cuticles and it's left my nails feeling really nourished and smooth. Also,it contains lots of natural ingredients like pure cocoa butter and lanolin which is great if you're trying to be more wary of what you're putting on your skin.I'm definitely going to buy this again!

Have you bought any great products from Amazon recently?

The best things in life are free // Community Potluck

Once a week, I have decided to dedicate a post to writing about great things to do or see for very little money! Having a night out can be so expensive, and you can often go how with nothing more than an empty wallet and a soggy kebab. This is where Potlucks come in, they are gaining popularity in the UK as they're a great way to share food and meet new people.I took along some peanut butter and chocolate bars!

The idea is that everyone who attends brings some food and you all share it together. They normally accept donations so that they can hire the venue and put the kettle on,but other than that it's often free! My local one was held in the Methodist Church and run by the "Network of Wellness" who help support people coming together in the community.

I thought the table decorations where really cute and I love the handmade touch. They did a really good job at jazzing up an otherwise plain hall.I could do with some of those candle jars at home! When I got to the food table,I didn't know what to pick. There was so much choice including vegan options,so it was great that everyone was catered for.

I decided on trying a little bit of everything! I had to some Pasty of course (true Devonian!) but this was potato and leek which was a bit different.I also tried so Gnocchi and a little bit of rice salad. There was loads of fresh fruit too, so I picked up a few fresh strawberries.Almost all of the food was organic, really well cooked and there was so much of it that I was blown away by people's hard work! I washed it all down with a lovely Chai Latte.

I couldn't pass up on dessert as it all looked so good! My photo doesn't do it justice, but this a Berry cheesecake which had just the right amount of sweet and tart flavours. It was great to just sit and enjoy some food with people you wouldn't normally spend time with. You meet all kinds of people! With full stomachs, we decided to head to the free market.

Now that you know roughly where I live,Totnes is well known for being an alternative and green community. We're very big on recycling and reusing down here! A friendly man came up to us and said "take as much as you want" which I thought was very generous. There was a large selection of kids clothes and all kinds of different books covering every subject. We walked away with a few books that we know family members love.

I was really impressed by the kindness and friendliness of the community here, we had a great time! If we had of gone out drinking for a night, we could have spent £30, but this was a great way to have a meal out in a lovely setting all for a £2 donation!

Would you ever go to a Potluck? If you have, did you enjoy it?

Mothers day picks // What I bought

Mother's Day is coming up on the 30th March, and like most Daughters I have been racking my brain trying the think of perfect gift ideas. As much as I love her,she is the most awkward woman to buy for! She can't used scented body products and has a lot of aversions to different types of food. Finally, I think I've picked some things she'll love.

Card from Etsy £2.95

I'm really soppy so this card definitely appealed to me.Unlike my husband who insists on buying humorous cards for everyone in case someone thinks he's being soft! I love the cute font and I completely agree that you're never to old to need your Mum (even at 22).I thought this really stood out as something unique and pretty to look at.

       Quote book from WHSmith £5.99
Cadburys Eclairs £1

I love memorising quotes to help me though tough times, and I always share them with my family, they never fail to cheer Mum up.This little quote book really caught my eye,it's full of lovely words that she can treasure forever.I also picked up a bag of Cadburys Chocolate Eclairs because I always remember her eating them when I was a child, she even managed to give me a few! I don't even like them that much, but I felt so important when she handed me one.

I thought this quotes were so lovely and heartfelt, they would make a great gift for any Mother.I know holidays can be quite commercialised now,but I think it's wonderful when we have an excuse to give our loved ones a well deserved present. If you're still trying to find the perfect Mother's Day present,WH Smiths have lots of lovely books which have offers on,so try and get yourself a bargain.

Have you bought anything for Mother's Day?

How Parsley tea has improved my health

I always try to take my vitamins when I remember, I think they're a great way to support my immune system and give myself nutrients that I might be missing out on in my diet.I was browsing around online and I noticed a lot of people talking about the benefits of drinking Parsley tea. It's a bit strange isn't it? The only encounters I have with Parsley are when people garnish triangle sandwiches with it at buffets! I decided to give it a try, people where saying that it helped regulate their periods and provide essential nutrients to the body.

Before I start,I would like to mention that you shouldn't drink Parsley tea if you have high blood pressure,Kidney disease or Edema. It is very important for you not to drink Parsley tea if you're pregnant as it can cause birth defects or an abortion.Breastfeeding mothers should also not be drinking Parsley tea.I'm not a Doctor, and don't claim to have much medical knowledge,I'm just sharing my positive experiences.Any serious concerns you may have should be discussed with your Doctor.Anyway! Onto the story..

Whenever I get stressed my periods can become a little irregular,so a few days beforehand I scooped two teaspoons of dried Parsley (you could use fresh) into a cup and topped it up water. It didn't smell very nice,it reminded me of grass but I put a little sweetener and took a sip.It was perfectly fine, definitely not my nicest cup of tea but I was willing to try it.The science behind it is that Parsley is a mild emmenagogue which is a fancy word for saying that it helps the Uterus to contract and to stimulate the shedding of the lining and promote blood flow.I wasn't to sure about this but I gave it some time.

During my little experiment I drank about 3 cups a day,I was even beginning to enjoy the taste.I started experiencing some mild menstrual cramps a couple of days before I was due to start my period, and it came right on time!

Obviously this could have just been my body having a regular cycle but I was very pleased.I definitely had more symptoms of my period arriving and it was one of the most regular periods I'd ever had.Parsley also contains the Vitamins C,A and Folic Acid,it even has chemo protective properties that can help to neutralise carcinogens. It felt great to be drinking something that has so many health benefits.I also noticed that it helped to reduce the water weight during menstruation, and it helped my skin have a healthy glow to it!

I'm very happy with the results and I will definitely be continuing to drink Parsley tea.Who would of thought that the common household herb would help this much?

What tips do you have to help with "that time of the month"?

How to dine out for less

Having a lovely meal out is a great way to catch up and unwind with those you care about.Haven't you noticed food always seems much nicer when it's being cooked for you! More people are spending a large portion of their disposable income on dining out, thanks to there being more interest in various cuisines and probably because it's enjoyable too! I'm sharing some tips that I use to still have a wonderful meal without it costing the Earth.

1.Take advantage of restaurant vouchers

There are some great sites that offer brilliant deals on eating out, and they definitely help cut the cost.Just print them off and take them along to the restaurant. It's always best to check that the location you're going to is participating, but you shouldn't have a problem. The vouchers vary but often you can get up to 25% off! Sites I would suggest are Money Saving Expert and Voucher Codes, they are normally kept very up to date with the latest deals

Here are my top picks;
30% of main courses at Zizzi (Victoria and Earl's Courts restaurants excluded)
25% of your food bill at Loch Fyne (valid until 31st March)

I'd definitely sign up to your favourite restaurant's newsletter as they often send their customers their latest offers and news via email!

2. Try to recreate the meals at home

I know that this post is about dining out,and I'm no Delia Smith, but it can really save money. Also, expanding your cooking knowledge and giving your family something you've made can be a great confidence boost! Sometimes there is nothing nicer than sharing something you've spend time over.Normally go for a curry? Try to make a Chicken Tikka. More of a pizza person? Why not buy a pre-made base and top it with whatever you fancy?

If you're trying to save even more money, there are some great sites that help you think of what to make out of all of the items you have left over in your fridge. My Fridge Food does just that! Just click on what food you have and it will create delicious recipes for you. It's a great way to stop food going off and buying what you don't need.

3. Save money on drinks and share food

We all know how much a good meal out can cost! One way I've found that really helps to cut the bill is by asking for a glass of tap water to drink.I know it's not the most exciting thing, but restaurants can charge £4 + for a nice glass of wine or a soft drink. Also,if you're out with someone else, why not offer to split a pizza? I've done that before and just got my own portion of chips. We left full and still with quite a bit of money left over for the evening.

Using these simple tips has really helped me free up some of my money for more important things.I know what it's like when you can't spend much,so I hope this helps people have a great time out for less!

Do you have any tips on saving money when dining out?

Car boot market haul

My local market is every Saturday, and it normally gets pretty busy.It sells all kind of knick knacks and it's very popular with the tourists.I don't normally look for too long,as they don't often sell clothes, but I saw that a few people were having car boot sales and I do love searching through and seeing what I can find! I managed to pick up quite a few things,so I think I did quite well.

I love the Aztec trend that appears when it gets warmer, and this cute top is a really subtle and simple way to wear it.It's slightly cropped,so I'm planning on wearing it tucked into a high waisted skirt.I love the little pocket detailing and it's a comfortable fit,so I'm hoping to get quite a lot of wear out of this in the summer. It was originally from Primark so I wasn't expecting to be too expensive, but I was very impressed as it only cost 50p.

I also bought this top for 50p because I mentioned it had a small hole in the back (nothing a needle and thread can't fix!) Also originally from Primark,I think this vest will come in handy when it starts getting warmer (hopefully.) I've been wanting to get this kind of top for a while,so I'm glad I waited.

I picked up this jumper instantly because I'm really into 80's/90' s style clothes at the moment.I wish my Mum had held on to some of her old clothes! This was slightly more expensive at £3,but it is in really good condition and from Topman,so I expected that. It's kind of ironic as I'm not particularly athletic, but I love the vibrant print which really brightens up an otherwise plain item.As it's a man's jumper,it has a very relaxed fit which is great for those lazy days where you still want to look good.I know buying a thick jumper in Spring/Summer is a bit strange, but you never know what the weather is going to do.Also,I do have a habit of stockpiling Winter clothes!

I have seen these in my beloved Primark, and I've always debated on whether or not I should buy it.I don't listen to Guns N' Rose but I really love the design of this vest.Although,Sweet Child O'Mine is a pretty good song! It's got a nice slouchy feel and would like nice with a skirt or leggings and some cute ankle boots.

I was thinking of imposing a spending ban,but seeing as I walked away from there with change from a £10,I don't think that's too bad.Recycling clothes is good for the environment too,so it's a win-win situation.

What's the best thing you've ever bought from a Car boot sale?

Jewellery picks // Necklaces

From left to right
Nebula necklace from this seller
Amethyst necklace from Topshop (sold out)
Luna moon necklace from Lisa Angel (sold out)

I'm all about necklaces at they moment! Throw them on and can really help make an outfit look more put together.I don't buy expensive jewellery because I like to change them often, but these are my top picks!

I have been wearing my Nebula necklace since it came to me,it is absolutely gorgeous. Etsy is a great place to buy things that are unique, and you know lots of effort has gone into making them.I'm obsessed with space,so this pretty nebula design is perfect for me.The detailing around the edge really sets it off too,and the chain feels sturdy. It's everything I could want from a necklace, and it was only £2.94 which I thought was fantastic value.

I've had this Topshop necklace for a while now,and I still love it as much as when I first bought it.I'm not sure if it's really Amethyst, but I love the rich, deep colour and the meaning of the stone.Apparently,it is used as a dream stone, and the Ancient Egyptians used them as protection against fear! It's really easy to style, and adds a lovely pop of colour. I don't think they're selling this particular necklace at the moment, but I know they have lots of similar ones like it.It was around £6 or £7 too, which I thought was reasonable for such a high quality necklace.

Continuing with the Space theme, isn't this little moon necklace so cute? I was after something to add a little bit of sparkle, but not be too in your face.I was browsing the January sales online, and came across this great site,Lisa Angel. It's full of cute gifts and pieces of jewellery, and this really stood out to me.The chain is quite long,so it's great to wear with casual clothes, for a beachy hipster kind of look.

I've only got into jewellery recently, but I'm glad i did! It's a great way to update a look without spending too much.

What are you favourite pieces of jewellery?

Primark £1 fashion nails review

It's no secret that I love Primark. It's a great place to buy good value clothes without spending too much.I normally walk past most of the accessories, but their range of fashion nails really caught my eye. There so many different designs to choose from I couldn't make my mind up,but I decided on these lovely Daisy print nails, perfect for spring! The price tag is great too, other brands can charge anything up to £10.

I didn't realise that there were 24 in a pack, which means I can wear these more than once, let's hope they stay on! There are a wide range of sizes to fit most nails types, and I found the glue to be quite effective and sturdy, which surprised me for such a low cost.I just dabbed it onto my nail bed and applied the nails, pushing down firmly.I thought it would be quite fiddly, but it was definitely a quick and easy process,it took me about 15 minutes! They seem to be holding up pretty well,so far they have stayed on whilst I've made my bed, cleaned the kitchen and washed my hands. This has definitely been a positive experience, unlike some other nails I have purchased that have pinged across the room at the first chance.

I love how they look on,and I have already received a lot of compliments.I've only had them on for a few hours! I think they'd be great for a night out,or when I just fancy I change.I'm not very good at nail art,so these are an easier alternative.Next time I'm in Primark,I think I'll pick up a few more. You can't go wrong really!

Have you ever tried false nails? What brands do you like?

How to take care of your inner child

I think the date of this picture is a bit inaccurate,I would have been the world's smallest 7 year old! I think I was about 2 years old,I'm not sure if people can remember back that far (including me),but most people have such fond memories of their childhood. As we grow up,I think we tend to forget the little things that bring us joy.We face difficulties and situations that we are so often oblivious to as children.Adults can over think things, letting the worries of the world rest on their shoulders.I've come up with some tips to help bring us back to those simpler times!

Colour outside the lines

I don't mean just with colouring in either! Children aren't afraid to get things wrong.Try a create something, maybe a sculpture or a lovely cake,if it isn't perfect, does it matter? Remember when you were a child and you make something for someone, and you would be so proud! Bring back that feeling with some creativity.

Take a nap

Obviously only do this one if you can! I don't think the boss would appreciate it.When you have some spare time, get your comfiest blankets and cushions out and have a rest. Not only is this a great way for your body to recharge, studies have shown that they actually increase alertness and make you feel good!

Find joy in the smallest things

Remember watching the raindrops on the window, and seeing which one won the race to the bottom? How about when you would put on your wellies and splash in the puddles? To children, everything is a chance to learn and experience.Do something you love.Go and play with your animals or just doodle in a notebook. It may seem frivolous, but doing these little things can really help you let off steam and see the bigger picture.

Go outside

As a child, the outside was amazing! It could be whatever you wanted it to be,and you could run around for hours, never tiring of energy.Getting outside and reconnecting with the world around you, whether going for a run or just sitting in a park,is a great way to blow out the cobwebs and feel refreshed.

Of course,we all have to return back to adulthood. However,it's a good idea to take the memories and experiences you had as a child, to help you to become a more carefree and happier person!

What do you like to do to take care of your inner child?

Graze Box // March 2014

When this lovely brown box landed at my front door,I was so excited to take a peek inside.Graze is a snack delivery company that offer a wide range of sweet and savoury treats. They can become fairly expensive, as they are £3.89 each, but different delivery options give you the choice to order fortnightly or push back boxes to another date if you're on holiday.I've ordered from Graze occasionally, but I thought I'd take advantage of their first box free deal, let's see what I've got.

I like that they're in portable little boxes, and I find the portion sizes to be just right.I'm pretty happy with my selection, you can influence what you receive from Graze by going to their website and clicking "love" or "bin" on their snacks.

Smoky Gazpacho dip (with wholemeal crispbread slices)
I've yet to try this, but it sounds really good.I've got more of a sweet tooth, but I think this would be an interesting alternative to crisps.I like the crispbread to dip ratio too,I don't want to end up with the same issue that I had as a kid when I ate Dairylea Dunkers and not have enough dip to go around.

Summer berry flapjacks
I love anything that has oats in it from porridge to Hob Nobs,so this looks perfect for me.It says they contain " berry infused" cranberries which sounds very fancy,I hope that it's a fresh and realistic tasting berry flavour, unlike some flapjacks which can have an artificial taste.

Billionaire's Shortbread
I had this yesterday and it was lovely! It's an interesting mix of milk chocolate, almonds, cranberries and fudge. It kind of reminds me of that "trail mix" that is so popular in America.I also found this pretty filling due to all of the healthy fats in the nuts.

Inspired by Jaffa Cake
I really enjoyed these too, just the right amount of orange flavour made them taste very similar to Jaffa Cakes. The chocolate tastes nice and rich, and I think it's quite good quality. The roasted hazelnuts added good texture and crunch so it felt quite substantial.I wish you could buy big bags of these!

I like that Graze is an informative company.Inside their boxes there is all the information you could want to know about your snacks. Also, they often offer really good discounts and deals that you can pass on to your friends.

I have a friend code that means you can get a Graze box for free! It's KIMW9141E.

Have you tried Graze boxes before? What do you think?
